Molly's Reach

The most famous building in Gibsons — the bright yellow diner at the corner of School Road and Marine Drive that starred in CBC’s The Beachcombers (1972–1990). After sitting empty since 2023, it reopened in early 2025 as “Molly’s Reach by Black Bean,” run by siblings David and Becca Bristow of the long-running Black Bean Café down the street. Now a daytime café (roughly 7:30 am–3:30 pm daily) serving coffee roasted on the coast, house-baked scones, muffins and carrot cake, and a breakfast/lunch menu with local beers and ciders.
