Black Bean Café

Closed at this location. The Black Bean was a coffee roastery and café at the corner of Marine Drive and Jacks Lane in Lower Gibsons, a local hangout for more than 15 years known for its on-site-roasted coffee and baked goods. When the landlord declined to renew the lease, the café closed at the end of January 2025 — but owners David and Becca Bristow moved the operation up the street into the iconic Molly’s Reach building, where it continues as “Molly’s Reach by Black Bean” (see mollys-reach).
